"I first noticed that Sarah’s head was completely flat at the back when she was just 4 months old. Concerned, I mentioned it to the health visitor who told me that it would sort itself out. At this point I knew nothing about “flat head syndrome” or that it was actually a condition. Still worrying about my daughter, I took her to see the family GP. Again, he said that it would correct itself, but I could tell it was getting worse. By the time that Sarah was 11 months old it was still very obvious and unable to believe that it would correct itself, I took to Google to get some advice. After reading various stories online, I came across Steeper Clinic and made an appointment straight away.
 

Barely three weeks after the first consultation, Sarah was being fitted with a STARband baby helmet and the difference has been incredible. Her head is now perfectly rounded and despite the treatment taking longer than the norm, at just over a year, we would not have changed it for the world and would do it all over again if we needed to.
 

When my third child Owen was born I was overjoyed, but when I noticed that his head was flat at one side, I immediately rang Kate at Steeper Clinic. Knowing what I had gone through with Sarah and the difference it had made, I was more prepared this time and determined to act fast! With Owen being so young, Kate gave me some helpful advice about ways to help him, including encouraging him to spend time on his tummy, which definitely helped. However, his head was still very flat and I was getting more concerned, so I took him along to see Kate for her expert advice. A week later he was fitted with a STARband baby helmet and as he was much younger than Sarah when she was fitted, he only needed the treatment for 4 months. Both of my babies have been given the best start in life with the help of Kate and the Steeper Clinic, without them I do not know what I would have done."
